Talk Story: Manilatown • Chinatown • North Beach w/ folks from the “Filipinos in San Francisco” book project that can speak on growing up, family experiences, struggles, livelihoods and events of the era prior to the I-Hotel eviction when Manilatown was thriving.

Annie Panlibuton, whose mother began the I-Hotel movement in the 1960’s

Tony Resuello, one of the few remaining Kearny Street Boys
Moderator: Evelyn Luluquisen, Manilatown’s executive director and Filipinos in San Francisco book project manager.
Purpose: To record history of our pioneers, keep the stories and experience fresh, promote the Filipinos in San Francisco book project and gather folks together to share stories and learn from one another.
