Babylon Salon Presents their Fall Reading

Whiting Award-winning Fiction Writer Lysley Tenorio and Award-winning Investigative Reporter Thomas Peele
Lysley Tenorio’s stories have appeared in The Atlantic, Zoetrope, All-Story, Ploughshares, Manoa, and the Best New American Voices and Pushcart Prize anthologies. A Whiting Writer’s Award-winner and a former Stegner Fellow at Stanford, he has received fellowships from the University of Wisconsin, Phillips Exeter Academy, Yaddo, The MacDowell Colony, and the National Endowment for the Arts.
Thomas Peele is an award-winning investigative reporter for the Bay Area News Group, whose critically acclaimed book Killing the Messenger, A Story of Radical Faith, Racism’s Backlash, and the Assassination of a Journalist examines race through the 2007 murder of California journalist Chauncey Bailey.
Also featuring Stephen Beachy, author of The Whistling Song, Distortion, and boneyard, Dennis Bernstein, author of Special Ed: Voices from a Hidden Classroom and host of KPFA’s Flashpoints, and and local writer Jorge Cino.
And with the music of Dave Hudson.
